Step 1
Cut the 4 mm cotton rope from the supplied pulley system to the following size:
- For a bamboo blind 200 x 200 cm = 1 piece of 5 meters and 1 piece of 6,5 meters.
- For a bamboo blind 150 x 200 cm = 1 piece of 5 meters and 1 piece of 6 meters.
- For a bamboo blind 100 x 200 cm = 1 piece of 5 meters and 1 piece of 5,5 meters.
Step 2
Take the shortest rope and tie the end to the upper wide bamboo slat at 20 cm from the side. Tie the rope at the front of the bamboo slat (convex side).
Attention! The side where you attach the shortest rope becomes the side of the control and rope cleat!
Repeat the same steps for the longer rope but then 20 cm from the other side.
Step 3
Attach the wide bamboo slat of the roller blind to a window frame or beam. This can be done by means of screws, tie-wraps or steel wire.
Attention! When using screws, pre-drill the bamboo slat to avoid cracks.
Step 4
Let the bamboo blind and the cotton ropes hang out completely.
Step 5
Now take a pulley and screw it into the window frame or beam. Do this at the back of the bamboo blind and 20 cm from the side so that it is exactly at the same position as the rope that you had previously tied to the front of the slat.
Step 6
Attach the second pulley as described in step 5 but then 20 cm from the other side.
Step 7
Take the longest rope lying on the ground and insert the end through the first pulley.
Step 8
Then insert the rope through the second pulley.
Step 9
Take the shortest rope and pass it through the second pulley (where the longer rope comes out).
Step 10
Now take both ends of the strings and pull them until both strings are nicely tight. Then tie the ends of the two strings together.
Step 11
Pull the tied strings and your bamboo blind will roll up nice and smooth!
Step 12
Screw the plastic rope cleat to the wall so that you can secure the strings and lock the roller blind at the desired height.
