Payment options

Bamboo Import uses a secure internet environment as soon as you start paying for your order. This way, others do not get the chance to see your transactions. Your transaction data is sent encrypted via an SSL connection. You do not need any special software to pay with SSL. You recognise a secure SSL connection by the "green lock" in your browser.

In the webshop you can pay with iDEAL, Bancontact / Mistercash, Visa, Mastercard and Bamboo Import gift cards or discount vouchers. It is also possible to pay by bank (wire) transfer. Please contact customer service for this. In our store you can pay by pin or cash. All payment methods are free, we do not charge any payment costs. Unfortunately we do not accept other payment methods such as payment after receipt of products, buy on account, payments at the door, VVV vouchers or by giro collection form.

It is only possible to pay in cash if you visit our store in Beverwijk. Unfortunately we do not accept cash payments at the door or at the post office.

Yes. When you place an order with your Visa or Mastercard, the amount is reserved on your credit card. The actual debit will only be made after delivery. That way you pay afterwards.

No, unfortunately it is not possible for us to accept VVV gift cards.

When paying, always state the order number as the payment reference. You will find the order number in the order confirmation that you received from us after your order. This is not the same as the order number of the website!

Gift cards and vouchers

Sure! If you want to surprise someone or make someone happy, give them a Bamboo Import gift card! You can choose the amount of the card yourself. Order the gift card by sending an e-mail to our customer service.

Bamboo Import vouchers can be won by participating in our photo competition.

Enter the gift or discount code in the checkout screen. The amount of a voucher is visible as a total discount amount during checkout. If the amount of your order is higher than the amount of the voucher, you will pay the remaining amount in another way. If you do not use a voucher credit entirely, the remaining balance will remain on your voucher.

After completing your order you will receive an order confirmation at the e-mail address you specified. This shows the net prices per item including the discount of the voucher.

Of course you can also visit our store with the gift card and voucher. However, you cannot exchange a gift card or voucher for money.

Our gift cards and vouchers have an expiration date. You can no longer use gift cards and vouchers after the expiry date. You can find the expiration date in the e-mail with your coupon code. Should your gift card or voucher be valid but you still get an error message? Then contact us.

A gift card or voucher is valid for 1 year. You cannot extend it.

Have you lost how much money is left on your gift card or voucher? No problem. Place a random product in your shopping cart and view your 'order'. Enter your coupon code, and the credit will automatically appear in the total calculation. If this does not work, please contact us. With the code of your gift card or coupon we can tell you exactly how much credit is on your gift card or voucher.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a gift card or voucher after placing an order. If your order has not left our warehouse yet, you can cancel the order in "my orders" in your Bamboo Import account and place a new order with the discount code. You can also use the gift card or voucher for your next order of course.

It’s a shame that you have lost your gift card or voucher. We cannot promise anything, but there may still be something in our records. Please contact our customer service for more information.

Have you paid with a gift card or voucher but are you returning the ordered product or are you canceling the order? Then we do not return the money to the gift voucher, but make the value of the gift voucher available as shop credit. Only our customer service can apply shop credit for you. Contact us to use the credit when you want to order something.

Payment failed or declined

Has your credit card payment been rejected? Payments associated with a credit card are checked for fraud sensitivity. Unfortunately, we cannot share with you why the payment was declined. Of course we assume that you do not commit fraud, but we must keep the control methods secret.

Your order has been automatically canceled and nothing will be charged. Do you still want to receive your order? Then place it again and choose iDEAL or Bancontact / Mistercash as the payment method.

Payments associated with a credit card are checked for fraud sensitivity. We believe it is important to protect our customers against fraud. Payments are objectively and automatically approved or rejected based on a large number of criteria. Unfortunately, we cannot share with you why the payment was declined. Of course we assume that you do not commit fraud, but we must keep the control methods secret.

Sometimes it takes a little longer for our website to recognise that you have paid. It can take up to one hour before we receive payments. Please check whether money has been debited from your account.

Has money been debited from your account, but you have not yet received an order confirmation? Then we advise you to wait until the hour is over. Have you not received an order confirmation from us after an hour? Then contact our customer service. We can help you quickly using your transaction number. This is always stated on the bank statement.

Has the money not been debited from your account? Then the payment was unsuccessful and you didn't pay any money. You can then place your order again.

Check whether money has been debited from you bank account. Has money been debited from your account, but you have not yet received an order confirmation? Then we advise you to wait a while. It can take up to one hour before we receive payments. Have you not received an order confirmation from us after an hour? Then contact our customer service. We can help you quickly using your transaction number. This is always stated on the bank statement.

Invoices

You will receive the invoice of your order by mail as soon as we have received your payment. Can't find your invoice? Send an e-mail to our customer service and state the order number. We will then immediately send you the correct invoice.

Do you have questions about your business invoice? Then contact your account manager.

Is something wrong with your invoice? We can check whether we can still adjust this for you. Let us know as precisely as possible what needs to be adjusted. An invoice may be adjusted within 30 days after it has been created. You will receive a credit invoice from us, which will make your current invoice expire. You will receive a new adjusted invoice in your mailbox within 3 business days. Please contact customer service for this.

Do you have questions about your business invoice? Then contact your account manager.

Your invoice may be adjusted within 30 days after it has been created. You will receive a credit invoice from us, which will make your current invoice expire. Refunds

As soon as we have received and processed your return product, we will refund you. How quickly you have the money in your account depends on your payment method. We always pay within 3 business days after we have received the return product. Is the amount not yet in your account after 5 business days? Then contact our customer service.

Once we have processed the cancellation, we will refund you. How quickly you have the money in your account depends on your payment method.

  • iDEAL: within 3 business days.
  • Credit card: the reservation will be canceled after 3 days.
  • Bank transfer: as soon as we receive the money, we will refund it within 3 business days.

Unfortunately, you cannot check the status of your refund, but we assure you that the payment will be made within 3 business days of canceling your order or within 3 business days of receiving the product. Is the amount not yet in your account after 5 business days? Then contact our customer service.

It varies per bank how long it takes for the refund to appear in your account. Have you returned your order? We always pay within 3 business days after the return shipment. Have you canceled your order? Once we have processed the cancellation, we will refund you. You will then have your money back in your account within 3 business days. Is the amount not yet in your account after 5 business days? Then contact our customer service.

We will refund you with the same payment method that you used to pay. For example, if you have paid with iDEAL, you will receive the amount back on the same bank account as the one that you used to pay. Have you paid with a gift card or voucher? Then you will get the money back in the form of shop credit. You will receive a confirmation email when the money has been refunded and / or shop credit has been applied.
