Our Split bamboo mats come as standard in various sizes, and they are also easy to trim down in both height and width.
This mat is easy to fix to a metal fence or an existing garden fence. Split mats are also a perfect option for affordable natural screening at events and festivals.
Please bear in mind when ordering that a split mat is not 100% opaque. If you want more privacy, we recommend fitting the mats in a double layer for maximum coverage.
The lifespan of a split mat averages 2 to 5 years, depending on where you place the mats and the weather conditions.

Care
Once you have installed the bamboo mats, you can apply our Bamboo Protector, a specially developed colourless/transparent stain that protects the bamboo against grime and discolouration. Outdoors, bamboo will grey and change colour, just like any natural material. We therefore advise treating bamboo once a year, preferably in spring, with our Bamboo Protector, a specially developed stain that protects the bamboo and restores its colour. Bamboo Renovator is easy to apply to cleaned bamboo with a brush. Use thin coats and spread the Bamboo Renovator out well. To clean bamboo you can use our Bamboo Cleaner. For stubborn dirt or grime, bamboo can also be washed down with a pressure washer. Keep a suitable distance to avoid damage. An alternative maintenance product is also available, namely Bamboo Booster, a natural oil that is easy to apply with a cloth. This oil gives a beautiful glossy result. The oil protects and nourishes the bamboo, but does not slow down the discolouration process. Bamboo Booster can be applied several times a year for the best result. The oil simply cannot be combined with our Bamboo Protector and Bamboo Renovator stain.
