Bamboo fences are naturally sealed at the top to prevent moisture and dirt getting into the bamboo sticks. Several horizontal bamboo skewers give the bamboo screens their stability.
Bamboo has a natural tendency to split vertically. This can also happen with your Giant fence and is simply a natural characteristic of the material. Splits appear in bamboo mainly during the hot, dry months of the year. In damp, cold weather the splits are smaller.
Splitting has no effect on the lifespan of the bamboo fence.
Because we buy our materials directly at the source, you are assured of the best price and unique bamboo screens.

Care
Once you have installed the screens, you can apply our Bamboo Protector, a specially developed colourless/transparent stain that protects the bamboo against grime and discolouration. Outdoors, bamboo will grey and change colour, just like any natural material. We therefore advise treating bamboo once a year, preferably in spring, with our Bamboo Protector, a specially developed stain that protects the bamboo and restores its colour. Bamboo Renovator is easy to apply to cleaned bamboo with a brush. Use thin coats and spread the Bamboo Renovator out well. To clean bamboo you can use our Bamboo Cleaner. For stubborn dirt or grime, bamboo can also be washed down with a pressure washer. Keep a suitable distance to avoid damage. An alternative maintenance product is also available, namely Bamboo Booster, a natural oil that is easy to apply with a cloth. This oil gives a beautiful glossy result. The oil protects and nourishes the bamboo, but does not slow down the discolouration process. Bamboo Booster can be applied several times a year for the best result. The oil simply cannot be combined with our Bamboo Protector and Bamboo Renovator stain.
