Care
Once you have installed the screens, you can apply our Bamboo Protector, a specially developed colourless/transparent stain that protects the bamboo against grime and discolouration. Outdoors, bamboo will grey and change colour, just like all natural materials. We therefore advise treating bamboo once a year, preferably in spring, with our Bamboo Renovator, a specially developed stain that protects the bamboo and restores its colour. Bamboo Renovator is easy to apply to cleaned bamboo with a brush. Use thin coats and spread the Bamboo Renovator out well. To clean bamboo you can use our Bamboo Cleaner. For stubborn dirt or grime, bamboo can also be washed down with a pressure washer. Keep a suitable distance to avoid damage. An alternative maintenance product is also available: Bamboo Booster . Bamboo Booster is a natural oil that is easy to apply with a cloth. This oil gives a beautiful glossy result. The oil protects and nourishes the bamboo, but does not slow down the discolouration process. Bamboo Booster can be applied several times a year for the best result. The oil simply cannot be combined with our Bamboo Protector and Bamboo Renovator stain.
